Yahaya Bello and new wife

The embattled former governor of Kogi State, Mr. Yahaya Bello, has taken a new bride, Hiqma.

Bello, who has been in the blacklist of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), reportedly married the new bride in a secret wedding ceremony held in Abuja.

The event, which was only limited to close relatives and select friends, was confirmed by Bello’s third wife, through a post on her official Instagram page.

In the message, she reportedly extended a warm welcome to the new wife, saying: “Our family just got a little bigger and more loving,” she said, adding a note of appreciation and a prayer for continued peace and blessings in the home.

Bello, who served as governor from 2016 to 2023 under the All Progressives Congress (APC), is also married to Amina Oyiza Bello, Rashida Yahaya Bello, and Hafiza Bello.

Despite his political prominence, the former governor is known to keep his family life away from the public eye.

He holds both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
