Yorubas Don’t Hate Igbos — Senator Murray-Bruce
The founder of Silver Bird Group, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has lambasted peddlers of hate over allegations that the Yorubas hate the Igbos.
Senator Murray-Bruce took to his twitter handle to address the wrong perception on Monday.
It could be recalled that some hoodlums perceived to be Yorubas had attacked Igbo-dominated areas during the presidential election which held on February 23.
Consequently, many election materials were destroyed and some persons wounded.
The fall-out gave steam to the perception that Yorubas hate Igbos.
However, reacting to the development, Murray-Bruce urged Nigerians to separate the behaviour of a few people from the behaviour of the Yoruba.
He said that looking at the results of the Presidential elections shows that Yorubas voted almost 50% for an Igbo Vice President of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP], Mr. peter Obi.
The votes came despite the fact that a Yoruba politician, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, contested as Vice President in the All Progressives Congress [APC].
The Senator concluded by saying that “the Yoruba don’t hate the Igbos or anybody” and that “no ethnicity is as accommodating as the Yoruba.”

in another development relating to Igbos, Mr. Reno Omokri, an aide to former President, Goodluck Jonathan, has showered praises to the Igbos for their achievements across the globe.
Also taking to his twitter handle, he wrote:
“God uses the marginalisation of Igbos for His purpose. I met an Igbo mayor of a major American city.
“Many Igbo are mayors/MPs in Europe. An Igbo is being considered as a future British PM.
“Like Jews, the more your marginalise Igbos locally, the more they leave to thrive globally.”
