Texas-based Nigerian rapper Ms Jorji has reacted to reports surrounding the alleged release of Nigerian dancer and hypeman Poco Lee, as UK prosecutors confirmed that his sexual offence case remains active.
Ms Jorji, who has been vocal about the case, appeared to question reports that Poco Lee had regained his freedom in a post shared on social media.
“Everyone who was happy that Poco Lee was released yesterday has suddenly gone quiet. You think this is Nigeria? See you all on Tuesday,” she wrote.
Her reaction came after reports circulated online claiming that Poco Lee had been released from custody and that the complainant had withdrawn from the case or that the matter had been settled.
However, the Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed that the case is still live and that Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing, commonly known as a PTPH.
The latest confirmation has created further uncertainty around the reports of his alleged release, as the CPS response did not clarify whether Poco Lee is currently in custody or has been released on bail.
PUNCH also reported that its correspondent had contacted Snaresbrook Crown Court for clarification on his current custody or bail status and was awaiting a response.
Poco Lee is facing five sexual offence charges in the UK, according to reports, including attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. He has not been convicted of any offence, and the allegations remain to be determined by the court.
His management had previously urged the public to allow the legal process to take its course and cautioned against spreading unverified claims about the case.
With the September 15 hearing still on the court calendar, attention is now focused on what will happen when Poco Lee appears before the Snaresbrook Crown Court and whether further clarity will emerge regarding his current legal status.
