The husband of the woman accused of sexually abusing their seven-year-old daughter and allegedly using the child to create adult content has spoken out, claiming he was unaware of his wife’s alleged actions.
According to the man, he only became aware of the situation after someone sent him a video on Thursday evening.
“I had no idea that my wife was using our 7-year-old daughter to create adult content. I discovered it on Thursday evening when someone sent me the video,” he said.
His statement comes amid growing public concern over the case involving his wife, who was reportedly arrested by police in Onitsha following allegations involving their young daughter.
The husband’s account suggests that he was not aware of the alleged activities before receiving the video, although the circumstances surrounding how the video was obtained and circulated remain unclear.
The allegations have sparked outrage because they involve a child, with members of the public calling for the authorities to thoroughly investigate the circumstances and ensure the girl’s protection.
The husband’s claim of being unaware of his wife’s alleged actions has also raised questions about how the situation remained undetected within the family.
However, the allegations against the woman remain subject to investigation, and her husband’s account does not by itself establish the full circumstances of the case.
Authorities are expected to determine what happened, establish whether criminal offences were committed and ensure that the child receives appropriate protection and support.
Given the sensitive nature of the matter, details that could identify or further expose the child should be handled with caution.
