Young Ebuka Peter Umechiedo diagnosed of kidney disease and seeking help for kidney transplant is finally dead.

Elombah.com had published an article written by the chairman Ezinifite Association UK, Maazi Tochukwu Ezeoke on August 2, 2017.

Therein, he solicited for support for the young lad then fighting for his life.

In a characteristic fundraising campaign to help save young Ebuka, Maazi Ezeoke had approached and written well-meaning Nigerians to come to his aid towards kidney transplant.

20 years old Ebuka was the only child of his parents.

He was diagnosed with kidney problem in 2016, and was placed on dialysis which then cost ₦70,000 weekly.

Doctors at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, had recommended a kidney transplant which is estimated to cost ₦10 to ₦12 million (£22,222) or ($27,777).

In the article, Ezeoke was pictured with the boy (Ebuka) and the parents.

Commenting on the latest tragedy that befell the family upon the death of young Ebuka, he wrote Elombah.com:

“My heart is heavy! I am saddened! We lost Ebuka Umechiedo last night. The monies we collected couldn’t save him.

“For those that contributed to his treatment, I say thank you, may the good lord who sees the heart reward you accordingly.

“May his young and gentle soul rest in peace.”

The Late Ebuka Peter Umechiedo hailed from Aguata local government area of Anambra state.

He will, no doubt, be missed by his parents, as well as friends and relatives who are acquainted with him.
