Your Body Bag Threat Is Fascism, Shehu Sani To El-Rufai

Senator Shehu Sani has lambasted Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State over his threat to send foreign observers home in “body bags” if they interfere in the 2019 general elections.
The senator representing Kaduna Central District at the National Assembly took to his Twitter handle to air his views.
He insinuated that shutting out foreign observers is akin to ‘switching off the lights, closing the windows and the doors and counting votes’.

He tweeted:
“Threatening foreigners with Body Bags is not nationalism or patriotism; it’s fascism.
“They simply want to switch off the lights, close the windows and the doors and count our votes.
“They are watering the flowers of our democracy with kerosene.”
Writing further, Senator Sani defined what body bag does not mean to his readers.
He stated:
“Body Bag in English language and not Sanskrit means Body Bag; it’s not Backpack or Gucci Handbag or Louis Vuitton handbag.
“If you think Body Bag is a symbol of nationalism or patriotism, please add it to the coat of arms or your party logo.”
