100level student commits suicide over girlfriend’s infidelity

A level 100 student of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has allegedly taken his life after a heart-breaking discovery.
The student reportedly committed suicide by hanging on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
According to media reports, the student whose identity was not disclosed ended his life after catching his girlfriend in a compromising situation with another man.
The incident allegedly occurred at Ghana Universities Staff Superannuation Scheme (GUSSS) Hall One.
Eyewitnesses say the young man collapsed after seeing his girlfriend in an intimate act with someone else.
The emotional trauma from the discovery is believed to have deeply affected his mental state.
Friends reported he appeared withdrawn and emotionally disturbed after the incident.
Some students claim he isolated himself before the tragic event occurred.
Others noted he was last seen pacing near his hostel shortly before the suicide.
Campus security later discovered his body hanging in a secluded area on campus.
Authorities quickly arrived at the scene and moved the body to the police morgue.
The Winneba police have taken custody of the body for further investigation.
