15 players unavailable for Enyimba Vs MFM

Fatai Osho will have a limited pool of players to choose his squad from as Enyimba face MFM FC on Sunday.

The squad has been injury ravaged this season, and the situation looks to have worsened with only four rounds of matches left.

Only recently, Osho decried the ‘alarming’ situation amidst some startling revelations.

“Where we have thirty-six players and we can only see twelve fit players, it’s becoming alarming and people from distance cannot really judge this team unless you come close,” stated Osho in an interview after Enyimba came from behind to beat Jigawa Golden Stars last weekend.

“We have never seen the situation this bad. We are just trying to pull beyond the line. The effort you see these boys put in is because they want to defend the Enyimba badge. They don’t have the health to actually do that. We have to see how much we can do to cross the line at the end of the day.”

Enyimba are currently fourth on the standings, although tied on points with Nasarawa United and Kano Pillars in second and third respectively.

Six points behind leaders Akwa United and with four rounds of matches left, the eight times champions must better the results of the teams ahead of them on the log to earn qualification for the CAF Interclub Competitions or stand any chance of successfully defending their title.
