2023: Tijjaniya Islamic sect endorses Obi/Datti ticket

Popular Kano based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Sharif Khalifa Anta Sagagi Kano and his Tijaniyya Islamic Sect has endorsed the Labour Party, LP, Presidential ticket of Mr Peter Obi and his running mate, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed for the 2023 Presidential election.

This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by Dr Tanko Yunusa, Chief Spokesperson to Obi-Datti Campaign Organisation,on his official Twitter account.

According to Yunusa, the revered Islamic cleric also promised to mobilize support for the Labour Party Presidential project nationwide.

Sheikh Sharif stated that his sects endorsement of the Labour Party, LP, Presidential ticket was based on their outstanding credentials and antecedents.

“The endorsement of the Obi-Datti Presidential ticket of the Labour Party is based on 3Cs, which both the party’s Flag bearer, Mr Peter Obi and his running mate, Senator Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed possess overwhelmingly, in comparison to the other leading candidates.

“The 3Cs of Capacity, Competency and Credibility. Insha Allah, Obi shall be the next President of Nigeria”

Dr Yunusa had paid a courtesy visit on the Islamic cleric over the weekend in Kano.
