2027 Imo Guber; Duke cautions Chalvon against smearing good Image of Chima Amadi

The spokesman of Mazi Organization, Cajetan Duke has cautioned Chief Charles Amadi (Chalvon) to concentrate on his transactionery politics and leave Chief Chima Amadi alone over 2027 Imo governorship elections.

Duke who recently resigned his position as the Publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress APC has joined Mazi Organization as its spokesman.

In a release of Tuesday February 18th 2025 by the spokesman of Mazi Organization, Cajetan Duke and made available to the press.

It states: “The attention of The Mazi Organization, has been drawn to a press statement published in the Horn newspaper of Tuesday February 18, 2025, and other print and electronic channels credited to Prince Charles Amadi and few members of his baggage ridden political orchestra called Owerri Zonal Political Leadership Forum, OZOPOLF, against our principal, the Ngor Okpala born Dr. Chima Matthew Amadi (Mazi Gburugburu).

While it is not in our character to respond to every misfit on the political highways of the state, we are, however, compelled to issue this statement in response to this recent actions of Charles Amadi and his infantile political forum called OZOPOLF, because it has come to our knowledge that both the man and his caricature association have been engaging in a subtle but clearly smear campaign against Mathew Amadi, attempting to tarnish his reputation and credibility.

While condemning such targeted actions in the strongest possible terms we wish to advise our brother Prince Charles Amadi to focus on his career transactional politicking which he has been known for in the last 25 years, rather than resorting to personal attacks on a man whose record is sparkling and immaculate.

Historically, we know it is that time and season when OZOPOLF is usually used as a political workshop for his self-aggrandizement and enrichment to the detriment and chagrin of the people of Owerri zone.

We have the records and we shall release the facts in our subsequent releases.

It is rather preposterous and illogical, to say the least, for Prince Charles Amadi and his disillusioned OZOPOLF to attribute the resignation of notable members of the State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as an affront to the Imo State governor by Mathew Amadi.

That is a deliberate incitement for cheap political gain! We are not surprised because it is Charles Amadi’s style of politics – destroying the other politician, especially those in Owerri zone, in order to get popularity. However, it can’t work again.

The truth remains that former members of the State Working Committee of APC, who recently resigned their positions and membership of APC to join The Mazi Organization, are not only men of integrity, with credibility and consistency of character, but reasonable enough to know what is good for them without the approval and permission of the ilk of Charlvon, a known and established political slave master.

While Dr. Matthew Chima Amadi, an urbane scholar, astute administrator, successful entrepreneur and renowned social crusader has not publicly declared interest in any elective position, it is however a public knowledge that Governor Hope Uzodimma in line with the relevant provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999 as amended) will not be seeking re-election for the third time in 2027.

One then wonders why wasted political billets and meddlesome interlopers like Charlvon and his inglorious OZOPOLF are crying more than the bereaved!

It is essential to recognize that Dr. Chima Amadi is not in competition or contest with Governor Hope Uzodimma, as they both enjoy cordial and mutual relationships and respect for each other.

While we continue to appreciate His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, the executive governor of Imo State for providing a sustainable roadmap for political stability in the state through his commitment to the Imo Charter of Equity, we do not believe the people of Owerri should sleep and wait for the governor to breast feed us!

We therefore urge people like Charlvon and his cohorts to stop hiding under the shadow of Governor Uzodimma in their calculations for 2027 and take a stand for once as men. Else, Charlvon and fellow political workers of iniquity will be consumed by their own act of sabotage, betrayal and double standard”, the statement read.
