Mr Jackson Ude, the publisher of Point Blank News, has berated president Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the latest threat by his lawyers that there will be anarchy in Nigeria if he is removed by the presidential election petition tribunal because of his failure to score 25% in the federal capital territory.
News Band reports that Tinubu who admitted his failure to score 25% in the federal capital, said it was not enough to upturn his victory as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
“Any other interpretation different from this will lead to absurdity, chaos, anarchy and alteration of the very intention of the legislature,” Mr Tinubu’s lawyers led by Wole Olanipekun said in their final defence statement to the tribunal.
While reacting to the threat by Tinubu’s lawyer, the US based investigative journalist (Ude), in a post on his official Twitter handle, described it as most irresponsible.
He said the outburst by the president only shows his desperation to use presidential powers to intimidate the Judiciary and threaten citizens.
Ude however added that, the threat by the president is nothing but a testament to the fact that he rigged the elections and also forged his credentials.
He said, “The threat of Anarchy, violence from Bola Tinubu through his Lawyer, Wole Olanikpekun, if the 2023 Presidential election result is nullified over his failure to score 25% in FCT, is most irresponsible, coming from a supposed President of a country.
“It shows the desperation of the druggie to use Presidential powers to intimidate the Judiciary and threaten citizens. Only a politician who has a lot to hide would be this desperate.
“Bola Tinubu’s desperation is a confirmation that he rigged the elections, forged credentials and afraid that his drug crimes and all are about to get him kicked out!”
