Fraudsters impersonating me on Facebook, Kyari cries out

The General Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr. Mele Kyari has cried out that some faceless fraudsters are impersonating him on Facebook and defrauding unsuspecting Facebook users.

Mr. Kyari raised the alarm on his Twitter handle @MKKyari on Thursday.

He said that there are over 25 Facebook account bearing “Mele Kyari” that popped up following search on Google.

He, however, stated that he does not have an active Facebook account since 2015 and the public to beware of fraudsters.

He tweeted:

Beware of anyone posing as Mele Kyari on Facebook. A simple google search reveals over 25 Facebook account bearing Mele Kyari. I do not have an active Facebook account since 2015 and communicate with the public only on this verified twitter account. Beware of fraudsters”
