The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mallam Mele K. Kyari has denied allegation that the Corporation has not remitted $21 billion revenue to the Federation Account.
The said revenue was said to have accrued from Nigeria’s vast gas natural resources, the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export.
Speaking at a sideline of an event while answering questions from news men, Mallam Kyari cleared the air on the allegations of non-remitted $21 billion.
He noted that “the LNG accounts are TSA accounts domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) so it is practically impossible not to remit money into the Federation Account.”
