Over 500 bandits have reportedly agreed to lay down their weapons after a peace deal that was struck by prominent religious leader and Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi.
According to sources, the bandits are those terrorising Zaria, Giwa and Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area’s of Kaduna State.
