SWAN Distributes FIFA Palliatives To State Branches, Kwara Confirms Receiving Package

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN is believed to have received the COVID 19 palliatives to help cushion economic crunch brought about by the pandemic.

Elombah.com learnt also that the writers body has since distributed the package to its state chapters.

This was learnt after Kwara chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), confirmed the receipt of the FIFA palliative from the national secretariat of the association.

The state Secretary of the association, Olayinka Owolewa, revealed this in a statement on Monday in Ilorin.

The statement however, said arrangements have been concluded by the state executive council to hold Congress on Wednesday, Feb. 3, beginning from 12 noon.

Owolewa urged all members of the association to attend the congress as issues around the FIFA palliative, membership registration and other important matters are to be discussed.

The statement said all members are to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols when coming for the Congress.
