BREAKING: Champions League draw redone after error

Published

Paris Saint-Germain will now face Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 after the draw was redone due to an earlier error.

After mistakenly drawing Manchester United against groupmates Villarreal in the first draw (and then failing to replace United when the initial error was corrected) UEFA opted to redo the entire draw.

“Following a technical problem with the software of an external service provider that instructs the officials as to which teams are eligible to play each other, a material error occurred in the draw for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. As a result of this, the draw has been declared void and will be entirely redone at 1500 CET.”

The new draw has finally paired PSG with Real as the highlight clash. When the Champions League resumes in February you can watch all the matches on Paramount+.
