The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has thrown his weight behind the second-term bid of Nasarawa State governor, Abdullahi Sule while expressing confidence that the party will emerge victorious at the forthcoming general elections.

The two-time governor of the Nasarawa state made the statement during a courtesy call to Governor Abdullahi Sule at the Government House in Lafia on Saturday.

Senator Adamu who was at the Government House, Lafia for a condolence visit over the death of the longest serving paramount ruler of Eggon nationality in the state, Aren Eggon, declared his support for the second term bid of Governor Abdullahi Sule.

The APC chairman further said that despite the internal wranglings in the ruling party, nothing will prevent APC from emerging victorious in the 2023 general elections.

According to the elder statesman, the defections of some members to other political parties would not fetterer the determination, focus and proactiveness of the party from maintaining the lead come 2023.

Adamu said, “I am confident that such actions of the decampees will not prevent our party from clinching the ticket. We will emerge victorious in the forthcoming general elections. The All Progressives Congress is optimistic of emerging victorious at the forthcoming general elections.”

Earlier, the host, Governor Abdullahi Sule reiterated his personal commitment to continue to pacify the aggrieved members of the APC.

Applauding the National Chairman of the party for his contributions to good governance and successful conduct of the APC Primaries, Governor Sule, affirmed that Nasarawa State will continue to support the National Working Committee of the party under the leadership of Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
