The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has warned those collecting money from politicians in the name of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) to desist from such or face the fierce wrath of the group.
IPO made the call in a press release titled “We haven’t appointed anyone to solicit funds for ESN- IPOB” issued on Tuesday and signed by the Media and Publicity Secretary for IPOB, Comrade Emma Powerful.
Comrade Powerful regretted the “worrisome information” and maintained that no politicians, businessmen and religious leaders should for any reason part with money to anyone flashing the name of ESN security outfit without following the proper channels.
He encouraged people to report anyone masquerading as IPOB-ESN using any trick to collect money from people to any IPOB family.
“Anyone giving money to such criminals maybe ignorantly funding criminal activities against our land and people,” he noted.
The IPOB scribe informed that IPOB leadership has never authorized anyone to threaten and coarse people to support ESN, hence, such persons or groups are scammers and should be regarded and treated as such.
“ESN was established to secure our land from Fulani terrorists and are funded by selfless contributions of IPOB family members and other individuals who want our land secured.
“All politicians in the Eastern States should stop encouraging criminalities and focus on liberating the land given to us by God Almighty Chukwu Okike Abiama who is in charge and in Heaven.
“Any individual, corporate bodies, or organizations that wish to support the security of our land should follow the proper channels.
“There is only one ESN under IPOB with disciplined and powerful leadership globally known as the Directorate Of State (DOS) whose structural leadership pattern is “Command and Control”, Emma Powerful stated.
He said that all those that gave money through anyone with good intentions to supporting IPOB/ESN and IPOB-DOS but were not notified of such funds have been scammed.
“If you paid money and had not been recognized and appreciated by the top hierarchy of IPOB, please demand for a refund if it was given with good intentions or consider it a bad-business if such was intended to run down the struggle for Biafra restoration project,” he said.
He gave stern warning to those defrauding and forcefully extorting people of their hard earned money using IPOB or ESN, telling them to desist from such criminal activities immediately or face the wrath of IPOB.
“There’s no consultant, taskforce, middlemen nor group appointed by the Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra for fund drive.
“Any time we decide to have other channels of raising funds for ESN Volunteers in their continuous effort to secure our land, such information will always be put in the public domain and subsequently announced though Radio Biafra.
“At this moment, the only channel for any monetary support for ESN is through IPOB leadership (DOS).
“Those who genuinely want to support our Homeland Security should contact IPOB-DOS through the appreciate channels,” he added.
