Published

on

In a shocking exposé, activist and journalist, Agba Jalingo, revealed on his Facebook page Saturday night that Comfort Okache, a suspected sex trafficker from Ugaga in Yala LGA, Northern Cross River, is wanted by authorities for allegedly trafficking three young girls from Cross River to Korhogo, Côte d’Ivoire, where they are being forced into prostitution.

According to Jalingo, Okache deceived the girls with promises of employment in Abidjan but instead subjected them to the sex trade in Korhogo.

The girls are currently in danger and seeking assistance to return home.

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has launched an investigation and is urging anyone with information about Okache’s whereabouts to come forward.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Okache’s whereabouts to contact Jalingo or NAPTIP immediately.
