We’ll Build A Better, Bigger Church, Says Oyakhilome After Fire Razes Christ Embassy Headquarters

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, President and founder of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, has declared that the fire incident at the church’s headquarters was not an accident, but an opportunity to build something even greater.

Speaking during a live Sunday service at the church’s campground in Asese, Pastor Oyakhilome assured his congregation that the fire was not a setback, but a stepping stone to something more magnificent.

He recalled a similar incident in 2001, during the Ikeja cantonment bombing, when the building vibrated severely, but did not collapse.

He had then vowed to build a bigger and better one if it did.

With the recent fire incident, Pastor Oyakhilome reiterated his determination to build an even more glorious structure, saying, “Nothing happens in the life of a child of God by accident… Now that this has happened, we will build a bigger, better, and more glorious one, and the devil will lick his wound.”

The fire, which broke out earlier on Sunday morning, was met with a swift response from the Lagos Fire Service, who worked to rescue the situation. Fortunately, no lives were reported lost.

This incident has not dampened the spirit of the Christ Embassy community, but has instead galvanized their resolve to build something even greater, a testament to their unwavering faith and dedication.

As Pastor Oyakhilome declared, “We’ll build a bigger, better, and more glorious one,” the congregation erupted in cheers and applause, ready to face the challenge ahead.
