Female Suicide Bomber Kills 15 At Wedding Party In Nigeria

A devastating suicide attack occurred at a wedding in Gwoza, Borno State, on Saturday, leaving about 15 persons dead and several others injured.

A female suicide bomber, carrying a baby on her back, stormed the wedding venue and detonated the explosive device, causing chaos and destruction.

According to eyewitnesses, the wedding guests were among the victims, and the injured are receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Gwoza. Security agencies have not commented on the incident yet.

This tragic event brings back memories of the insurgency era in Borno, where suicide attacks were common. Although security forces have made significant progress in containing the situation, this incident highlights the need for continued vigilance and security measures to ensure the safety of citizens.

Details of the incident are still sketchy, and an investigation is ongoing. The identities of the victims and the perpetrator have not been released.
