The Independent  National Electoral Commisssion [INEC] has reached a resolution to hold supplementary election in Kogi State.

This was as contained in the official document released by the electoral body on Tuesday November 24 signed by Secretary to the commission, Mrs Augusta Ogakwu.

The aim is to conclusively ascertain the winner of the polls conducted on November 21 which INEC had declared inconclusive.

The electoral body had also resolved to allow the All Progressives Congress [APC] to decide in-house who will be the party flag-bearer to fill the vacuum created by the death of Prince Abubakar Audu.

However, as noted by an observer, Surely Odogbeze, the date of the supplementary election is faulty basically because that date has already been fixed for Bayelsa Election.

He suggested that the supplementary election should have been before or after the Bayelsa election.
