Gunmen have abducted a Catholic priest identified as Thaddeus Terhembe, of Wukari Catholic Diocese in Taraba State.
The abduction was disclosed by the Communication Officer of the Catholic Diocese of Wukari, John Jerome in a statement on Sunday.
He said the priest was kidnapped in his parish at Saint Ann’s Parish, Sarkin Kudu in the Ibi local government area of the state.
Jerome urged members of the diocese to pray for his safety and quick return.
Meanwhile, two persons were also said to have been kidnapped in the Gulum axis of Jalingo, the state capital.
The kidnappers reportedly stormed the house of their victims and kidnapped them to an unknown destination through a bush path.
Their abduction was confirmed by the spokesman of the command, Abdullahi Usman.
