Some staff members of Nigeria’s Ministry of Women Affairs appears to be in celebration mood following the sack of their former boss, Mrs Uju-Kennedy Ohanenye by President Bola Tinubu.

President Tinubu abruptly removed Uju-Kennedy Ohanenye and four other ministers during yesterday’s overhauling of his cabinet.

In a viral video sighted by Newsband Newspaper, some ministry employees were seen singing and dancing in apparent jubilation of Ohanenye’s exit.

The celebration came amid allegations that Ohanenye had diverted N1.5 billion earmarked for capital projects during her tenure.

Though, these allegations had led to a confrontation with the House of Representatives’ Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, further fueling discontent within the ministry.

However, the video highlights the acrimony that had reportedly been brewing within the Ministry of Women Affairs over Ohanenye’s leadership high-handedness.
