Controversial Nigerian crossdresser, Mr Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, has landed in the net of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
NewsBand understand that the social media influencer was bundled out of London-bound plane on Thursday night at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos State by the operatives of the anti-graft agency.
Bobrisky was taken into custody while attempting to leave Nigeria few days after he was granted bail by the Police.
The flight which Bobrisky boarded was obstructed by Nigerian authorities and he was forcefully evicted.
However, Okuneye proceeded to raise alarm via his official Instagram page, calling for help.
He wrote, “I’m badly injured, Nigerians help me efcc just arrested me,” he wrote on his Instagram story while sharing a short video of injury.
This medium reported last month that Bobrisky was arrested while attempting to flee to Benin Republic.
His arrest occurred just hours before he was scheduled to attend a Senate panel of inquiry meeting regarding allegations against him.
Reports indicate that Bobrisky was trying to dodge questioning by the Senate.
