I’m healthier after leaving office — Buhari

Immediate past President of Nigeria, Mr. Muhammadu Buhari has said Nigeria is quite a tough nation to govern.

He said this at an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting at Government House, Katsina State.

Mr. Buhari, who handed over the baton of leadership to President Bola Tinubu, while reflecting on his time in office, said despite efforts to tackle the nation’s myriad of challenges, he was often subjected to attack.

He said, “Those outside the corridors of power do not understand the complexities and difficulties facing Nigeria.

”My health has improved since leaving office. People who visited me told me I look better than before.

Also, on the political turf, Buhari urged political leaders to fear ”Allah” and remain transparent in managing public funds.

Meanwhile, the stakeholders’ meeting was held in preparation for the February 15 local government elections in Katsina State.

Former Governors Aminu Bello Masari, Ibrahim Shehu Shema and Governor Dikko Umar Radda as well as current and former members of the National Assembly with other party chieftains attended the meeting.
