PHOTOS: Agụnechemba security outfit raids kidnappers den, recovers guns, charms in Anambra

Following the launch of ‘Operation Udo-Gachi’, Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State, appears to be dealing ruthlessly with criminals in the State as the newly created security outfit, Agụnechemba has successfully raided another kidnappers den in Enugwu Agidi, Njikoka Local Government Area of the State.

The operation led to the arrest of a key suspect and recovery of a substantial cache of weapons.

The operation was reportedly executed in the wee hours of Thursday, January 30, 2025.

News Band gathered that the officers of the local security network acting on credible intelligence, arrested one Mr. Chukwudi Tansi identified as a member of the kidnapping ring.

Items recovered during the operation include 2 AK-47 rifles, 8 Pump Action gụns, 4 locally-made pistols, 3 packets of cartridges (101 cartridges), 4 empty magazines of AK-47 rifles, 3 cutlasses, 1 Baofeng radio, 1 motorcycle, and some charms.

Moreover, the coordinated efforts of the ‘Udo Ga Chi’ and ‘Agunechemba’ security outfit represent a strategic approach to maintaining law and order in the state with the support of other state police command.

This breakthrough comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance security across Anambra State, with authorities maintaining their aggressive stance against criminal elements.
