The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division, Major General Folusho Oyinlola, has pledged a fair and just approach to Plateau State’s security challenges.

He made this commitment during a courtesy visit to Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the Government House in Jos.

General Oyinlola, recently appointed as Commander of Operation SAFE HAVEN, emphasized building on his predecessor’s achievements.

He stressed the importance of enhancing stability across Plateau and its neighboring regions.

“Our priority is to strengthen existing peace and ensure all communities feel secure,” he stated.

He highlighted a people-centric strategy combining military operations with community engagement and dialogue.

“Plateau’s security challenges demand a multi-faceted approach involving all stakeholders,” he added.

This approach aims to address community concerns while fostering lasting peace.

Governor Mutfwang welcomed the GOC and assured him of the state government’s full support.

He described the military as a critical partner in restoring Plateau’s peace and tourism potential.

The governor praised the outgoing GOC for ensuring peaceful Christmas celebrations in 2024.

He urged citizens to embrace peace and collaborate for a secure future.

The meeting included the Deputy Governor, Secretary to the State Government, commissioners, and senior military officers.

It concluded with souvenir presentations and a group photograph, symbolizing strengthened collaboration.

This partnership underscores a shared commitment to restoring Plateau’s reputation as a peaceful and thriving state.

Together, they aim to address security challenges through balanced and inclusive strategies.
