Over 17 students have lost their lives and 16 others seriously injured following a fire outbreak at an Islamiya school in Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The fire which according to media reports broke out late Tuesday night, raged for nearly three hours before being brought under control.
