Adeleke commends Judiciary as “Harbingers of Hope”

Governor Ademola Adeleke recently commended the judiciary for protecting personal freedoms and upholding democracy.

Speaking at an Ibadan ceremony on Saturday, he hailed the bar and bench as society’s “harbinger of hope.”

Highlighting their role as “a beacon of hope for the weak and powerless,” he praised Nigerian courts for advancing democracy.

Adeleke acknowledged Nigeria’s judiciary for significantly advancing democratic evolution, noting, “From the bar to the bench, you are society’s redeemer and liberator.”

He also expressed confidence that Nigeria’s judiciary leads Africa in effectiveness and justice commitment.

Amidst numerous challenges facing national institutions, the Governor commended the judiciary for maintaining its essential balancing role in the nation.

He highlighted that the bar and the bench continue to guide the country with direction, justice, and equity.

During the event organized by Musibau Adetunji, SAN & Co., Governor Adeleke urged judges at all levels to uphold the principles of rule of law, justice, fairness, and equity.

He appealed for a continued commitment to truth in safeguarding democracy, clarifying that citizens view judges as sources of hope and redemption.

Additionally, the Governor congratulated the newly appointed judges: Justice O.A. Popoola, Justice M.O. Folorunsho, and Justice R.O. Muraina.

He reminded them that they now represent “symbolism of justice” within the legal system.

“You have a sacred duty to uphold the law, the truth, and the fear of God,” he remarked.

Expressing his hopes for the new judges, he invoked divine wisdom and grace as they navigate their responsibilities in pursuit of law and justice.

Governor Adeleke attended the event alongside his Chief of Staff, Hon. Kazeem Akinleye, members of the Osun State House of Assembly, and several members of the State Executive Council.
