Anambra APC guber aspirant withdraws from race

Mr. Chukwuma Umeoji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant in the upcoming gubernatorial primary election in Anambra state, has withdrawn from the race.

In a statement on Friday, Felix Morka, the, the spokesman of the ruling party, confirmed that Mr Umeoji had informed them of his decision to withdraw from the election after consultations with his supporters across the state.

The APC expressed gratitude to Mr Umeoji for his aspiration and dedicated support, hoping he would continue to work towards the party’s victory in the November 8 gubernatorial election in the state.

Mr Umeoji’s withdrawal comes on the eve of the primary election, which has generated significant interest in the state.

The APC is expected to announce its gubernatorial candidate for the Anambra state election after the primary.
