Mr. Ifeanyi Okowa, former Delta State governor, has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This is coming after his successor, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori announced his defection to the ruling party.
The mass defection was concluded on Wednesday following an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting held at the Government House in Asaba.
Meanwhile, the development marks a serious political shift in Delta State.
While confirming the development, Senator James Manager said, “All PDP members in the state, including the governor, former Governor Okowa, the Speaker, the state party chairman, all the local government chairmen and others, have agreed to move to the APC. We cannot continue to be in a sinking boat.”
