The Enugu State Government House also known as Lion Building, Enugu is playing host to the 11 governors from the South-East & South-South States in response to the state of the Nation and the rising phenomenon of Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB group who have been clamouring for Sovereign nation Biafra.

It is however surprising to note that Gov. Obiano of Adam bra failed to be present at this critical meeting almost immediately after IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu was received by a mammoth crowd in Onitsha, Anambra state.

Faced with the threat of Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB, South East/ South South Governors meet at Nike lake Resort, Enugu. It is the first of it kind.

This meeting is no doubt very critical to the current development across the country as various individuals and groups have recently expressed their opinions and thoughts as to what is the best way forward for the nation in the light of growing sectional sentiments.

Governors who have already arrived to deliberate over this very sensitive issues are Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Gov. Udom Emmanuel of Akwa-Ibom state and Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state.

Other are Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state, and the host Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. The Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu is also in attendance.
