Youths from Akwa Ibom State have taken to the streets on Monday to protest the proposed Akwa Ibom second governor’s lodge in Lagos which will gulp a whopping 9.1 billion Naira.

Recall that Elombah.com reported on August 3 that Akwa Ibom Citizens threatened a showdown with the state governor, Udom Emmanuel, over the proposed governor’s lodge in Lagos.

Lagos-based lawyer and Human Rights activist, Mr Inibehe Effiong [in the photo above with red snickers] had disclosed this in press statement.

Mr Effiong had said the protest will hold in Lagos.

Lamenting, the Human Rights activist wondered how the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly will approve the said sum despite the palpable economic condition in the country.

True to the statement, the youths took to the streets in protest against Governor Emmanuel.
