Breaking: I Didn’t Commit Any Illegal Transaction With Metuh —Dasuki

The former National Security Adviser [NSA] under the former President Goodluck Jonathan administration, Col. Sambo Dasuki [retd.] has denied making any illegal transaction with former National Publicity Security of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP], Mr Olisa Metuh.

Col. Dasuki made the assertion in Day 2 of the ongoing trial of Mr Metuh at the Federal High Court, Abuja, 3rd November, 2017 .

During cross-examination, Dasuki told the court, under evidence-in-chief, that he did not commit any illegal transaction with Metuh.

He said payment to Metuh passed through due process.  

He also stressed that he has not been charged or convicted of any crime or illegal activity of any sort. That in his dealings, he was only answerable to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Read below the exchange between Olisa Metuh’s lawyer, Barrister Emeka Etiaba [SAN] and Dasuki:

Lawyer :

Do you think payment to Chief Metuh passed through due process within your office as National Security Adviser ?

Dasuki:

Payment to Chief Metuh passed through due process . I have not been charged or convicted of any crime or illegal activity of any sort!

Lawyer :

Who were you answerable to as NSA ?

Dasuki:

In all my dealings as NSA , I was only answerable to President Jonathan!

In my opinion, it is becoming clear every day that Olisa Metuh is been punished for sin he never committed .

Can this government now let this innocent man go ?

If they have issue regards Nigeria problems since 1960 , they know where to go and those to hold and Metuh can’t be one !

The unfolding events is either Political witch-hunting or ethnic witch-hunting . 

But one thing I know is that no matter the type of witch hunting , history will remember this day .

If there is administrative sin or wrong in the whole process , Olisa Metuh is not at fault in anyway .

Olisa Metuh is not also Jesus Christ that died for the sins he did not commit .
