Breaking: Several Burnt To Death As Tanker Explodes In Edo

Several people have been burnt to death as a petrol-laden tanker exploded in Benin City, the Edo State capital, Friday morning.

Eyewitnesses reported that about 13 vehicles were burnt while many other persons suffered severe stages of burn.

The tanker reportedly exploded after a collision with a truck and a commercial bus.

The fire, which started at about 5:30am happened in front of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).

No official figure has yet been put to the number of victims.
