The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB], Nnamdi Kanu has dragged the Nigerian government to the ECOWAS Court.

Kanu is suing the Federal Government for the sum of $800 million as damages for unjust and illegal detention.

It is on record that the Nigerian Government has repeatedly ignored several court orders to release the leader of pro-Biafra agitators.

Kanu has been in detention since October, 2015.
