Geoffrey Akpur battles for his life after robbery attack

‎This young man here is not yet a lawyer, but he was on his way to becoming one before that dream came under great threat and danger.

On Tuesday, 9 July 2016, while on his way to school to study for his ongoing semester examination, Geff Tyohen Akpur, was attacked by robbers.

They not only dispossessed him of his belongings, but also shot him and left him to die.

He is a part three law student of the Faculty of Law, Benue State University, Makurdi and an executive member of Christian Law Students Fellowship of Nigeria (CLASFON).

He is currently at the Benue State University teaching hospital struggling for his life.

The doctors are doing all they can to save him, but they are helpless at the moment.

The second picture is an X-ray of him taken to show where the bullet is and it is marked in red.

The doctors are quite confused on what to do.

According to what I gathered, the doctors cannot operate him now because the bullet is in a very delicate spot and death could result if an attempt is made.

What options are therefore open to this young and energetic man?

Should they take the risk and damn the consequence, or should they leave the bullet in his body and let him live with it for the rest of his life (is that possible)?

There is a general feeling to send this young man abroad for expert medical care and advice. Sadly, there is a great obstacle.

Geff lost his father some years ago and his widowed mother cannot afford the cost; neither can his friends.

We are using this medium to call on good spirited individuals to help save the life of this young man.
