The state government has earmarked about 5000 hectares of land for grazing reserve purposes in Maiha, Guyaku and Mayo Belwa.
The Lamido Adamawa, Dr Abarkindo Aliyu Mustapha, in response commended the effort of the governor, Senator Mohammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow [above] for the gesture.
According to him, the effort made by the government will certainly go a long way in curtailing the incessant clash between Herdsmen and farmers in the country.
Lamido said this in his Sallah message to hundreds of subjects gathered at his palace in Yola immediately after the Eid-el-Kabir prayers.
He enjoined all the people of the state to be law abiding.
The premier ruler adviced the mammoth crowd to live in peace and fear God in all that they are doing.
According to him,this is the only way to show support for the Bindow’s led administration.
He reminded the newly elected Chairmen and councillors in the state to lead in the fear of God as one day they will account for their stewardship.
I can’t loot Adamawa treasury because I’m anointed by God to govern the state – Bindow
In another Sallah message, the Adamawa State Governor, Senator Bindow said God has privileged him and have ordained and anointed him to govern the state and as such he cannot loot the state treasury to the people God had used to bring him to power.
Bindow said this to the people of the state as his central message when all the First Class chiefs visited the state’s House to pay their Sallah homage in the Spirit of celebrating the Eid -del Kabir.
He stressed that it deemed fit to God to allow him to be the Governor and the only thing he knows he can do is to work for the people of the state.
Bindow revealed that his efforts to network the state with roads are resulting to cruel enmities by some elites in the state.
He aired his views In a blunt state, stating his position to work for Adamawa people despite all odds and opposition coming his
“Some God gave them the opportunity to work for the state but didn’t work, but now that I’m working it becomes a problem.
“I can’t fail God and the people that voted for me, I must work, Adamawa money is not meant to be favouring some few individuals.
“Let me tell you people the truth, I’m not fighting any body and anybody that is fighting me is fighting God because I’m choosing by God to govern the state and any Power that is not from God is nothing but vanity.
“I don’t join issues with people, joining issues with me because I’m working for the common people who God said I should work for them you bringing trouble to yourself,” he said.
According to Jibrilla some people only know how to play politics of religion, tribe and sectionalism in the state.
He adjudged that those doing that are “419ners meant to politically defraud people. “
“I only want you to play your part by supporting me in living in peace with everyone, giving me constructive advice that can move the state forward.
In his earlier submission the Hamman Bachama, Hummon Honest Irmiya appreciate Bindow beautifying the state with roads, paying salaries as at when due despite economy recess.
He called on him to ward off all problem that meddled the peace of Farmers and Fulani herdsmen that led to the killings of so many people in his kingdom.
