Buhari appoints two northerners as Supreme Court Justices

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Justice Sidi Dauda Bage and Justice Paul Adamu Galinje, as Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Acting Director on Information, Soji Oye, and made available to Elombah.com.

Their appointments followed the recommendation of the National Judicial Council [NJC] and the confirmation by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The two Justices will be sworn-in by the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the National Judicial Council Justice Walter Onnoghen.

Justice Onnoghen will swear them in on Monday December 5, 2016 at 2.00 pm at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
