(DDM) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the party’s candidates for the 2027 elections.
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that the endorsement was announced during a high-level State Executive Committee meeting held at the APC Secretariat in Asaba, attended by top party officials, including 25 local government chairmen.
The session was presided over by Delta APC State Chairman Elder Omeni Sobotie, who commended both Tinubu and Oborevwori for their leadership qualities.
Party executives praised President Tinubu for implementing bold reforms at the national level and lauded Governor Oborevwori for his inclusive governance and developmental strides under the M.O.R.E Agenda.
During the meeting, Chief Ubu Jiminyevwe Digbame moved the motion to endorse the leaders, which was seconded by Pastor Norbert Sochukwudinma.
The gathering emphasized the importance of party unity, grassroots mobilisation, and loyalty to ensure APC’s success in the upcoming elections.
Officials highlighted that grassroots empowerment programs would continue to be strengthened to engage party members and the wider electorate effectively.
Leaders stressed that reconciliation efforts were ongoing to resolve any internal disputes and maintain harmony within the party ahead of the 2027 polls.
A statement issued by APC Publicity Secretary Valentine Onojeghuo reaffirmed the party’s commitment to collective action, stating that Delta APC would remain united and focused on securing victory at both state and national levels.
