PDP Ughelli North acting excos meet to foster unity and growth

(DDM) – The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) acting executives in Ughelli North Local Government Area have held a crucial meeting to strengthen unity, promote peace, and prepare for future political challenges ahead of the 2027 elections.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that the meeting took place at the Afiesere residence of Hon. Daniel Emaye, the acting Chairman of the party in Ughelli North, on August 30, 2025.

Leaders stress unity, calm, and strategic focus

The gathering opened with a prayer by Hon. Evang. Gabriel Ohwotite, setting a tone of solidarity and reflection.

Hon. Daniel Emaye welcomed the executives and commended their dedication to rebuilding the party.

He reassured members that the PDP remained vibrant at the national, state, and local levels, despite challenges.

Emaye urged members to remain calm, focused, and committed to sustaining party growth.

He stressed that only unity could guarantee electoral success in the coming years.

Emphasis on credible leadership for 2027

Ambassador Kpohraror Emmanuel Efeludu emphasised the need for careful selection of party leaders across the 11 wards of Ughelli North.

He stated that only credible and “sellable” candidates should emerge to ensure a strong showing in the 2027 elections.

He further noted that party unity would play a decisive role in positioning PDP as a winning force in Delta State.

Voter registration and grassroots mobilisation

Acting Secretary Deacon Efe Oberiko reminded party members of the importance of ongoing voter registration across the local government area.

He urged executives to sensitise their communities and ensure robust participation to secure electoral advantage.

He stated that voter mobilisation would be a key determinant in the party’s ability to reclaim dominance in Ughelli North.

Rebuilding plans and strategic decision-making

Engr. Kingsley Ogbor, Assistant Secretary, backed the chairman’s call for careful and strategic decision-making.

He warned that any misstep could derail the party’s rebuilding process and affect grassroots mobilisation.

Hon. Simon Ohwo, PDP National Leader for Orogun and Chairman of Ughelli North Constituency 1, praised the executives for their resilience.

He encouraged them to remain steadfast in rebranding efforts and ensure PDP continues to stand as a formidable political force.
