President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to return to Abuja today, Tuesday, September 16, 2025, cutting short his working vacation in Europe.
The announcement, made by his spokesman, Chief Bayo Onanuga, on Monday, revealed that the President, who left Nigeria on September 4 for France to begin his annual holiday, had initially planned to split his time between France and the United Kingdom.
However, he concluded his engagements earlier than expected and will immediately resume his official duties upon arrival.
During his stay in Paris, Tinubu held a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace.
Both leaders discussed key areas of collaboration, agreeing to strengthen ties between Nigeria and France to foster mutual prosperity and global stability.
Tinubu’s early return is expected to shift focus back to pressing economic and governance matters requiring his leadership in Abuja
