President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Saturday depart Abuja for official visits to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos states.
The trip was disclosed in a statement on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
According to the statement, President Tinubu will be in Borno State to commission projects executed by the administration of Governor Babagana Zulum in collaboration with the federal government.
While in Maiduguri, the president is also expected to attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State governor and senator, Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.
From Borno, President Tinubu will proceed to Bauchi State to pay a condolence visit to the Bauchi State Government and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the renowned Islamic cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who died on November 27.
Following the condolence visit, the president will travel to Lagos, where he will spend the end-of-year holidays.
During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu is expected to attend several engagements, including serving as the guest of honour at the Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27.
The festival, which will take place at the Tafawa Balewa Square, will honour prominent personalities, including President Tinubu’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State governors, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
