US President Donald Trump has declared that the United States has carried out a “large scale strike against Venezuela” and captured President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, reportedly flying them out of the country.
The announcement, made on Trump’s social media platform Truth Social, stated that the operation was conducted in conjunction with U.S. law enforcement.
He added that more details would be provided during a news conference at 11 AM at Mar-a-Lago.
This marks a significant escalation in US-Venezuelan tensions, following weeks of US military pressure, air and naval strikes, and oil sanctions targeting Caracas.
