YAN seeks synergy with Government, National Youth Council

Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) has taken a significant step towards strengthening its ties with the Akwa Ibom State Government.

This was made known during a courtesy visit to Hon. Udeme Ubom, Special Adviser to the Akwa Ibom State Governor on Youth Mobilization.

Rt. Hon. Engr. Kenneth Gabriel Okon, Speaker of YAN, led the delegation, accompanied by notable members, including Rt. Hon. Idongesit Oko Udo, Akwa Ibom State Ambassador; Hon. Joseph Lawrence, Spokesman; among other members to the event.

“We are impressed by Governor Udom Emmanuel’s leadership and Governor Umo Eno’s vision for the state,” Rt. Hon. Okon said. “As an apolitical organization, we seek to collaborate with the state government to drive youth development initiatives.”

Hon. Joseph Lawrence emphasized the importance of youth participation in state development. “We must create opportunities for our young people to grow and thrive, ensuring they become active contributors to our society.”

Hon. Ubom assured YAN of his office’s commitment to collaboration, promising to work together to identify areas of need and develop strategies to address them.

The courtesy visit marks the beginning of a fruitful partnership between YAN and the Akwa Ibom State Government, aiming to drive positive change and contribute to the state’s progress.
