At least 25 people, mostly labourers working on a bridge restoration project, were killed in a suspected Boko Haram attack in Sabon Gari, Borno State, on Thursday.
The victims were ambushed by gunmen while working on the Maiduguri-Damboa-Biu Road.
Senator Ali Ndume expressed sympathy with the families of the victims and urged the military to remain committed to ending the insurgency.
