Autistic teen cyclist inspires nation with Delta honour

(DDM) – The Delta State government has officially honoured 16-year-old autistic teen, Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke, for his remarkable awareness cycling journey from Enugu to Lagos.

DDM gathered that the teen embarked on the ride to raise awareness about autism and to inspire youths across Nigeria to overcome personal challenges.

The awareness ride, spanning hundreds of kilometres across multiple states, began in Enugu, Tagbo-Okeke’s home region, and concluded in Lagos, the nation’s commercial hub.

Officials at the Delta State Government House hosted a reception in his honour, applauding his courage, determination, and commitment to advocacy despite the daily challenges associated with autism.
