Chelsea Fans Stage Anti-BlueCo Protest Ahead Of Manchester United Clash

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — Chelsea FC supporters staged a large protest against the club’s ownership group, BlueCo, ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

More than 500 fans participated in the demonstration, which began at the Wolfpack Inn pub before marching through Fulham Broadway towards Stamford Bridge under a strong Metropolitan Police presence.

The protest, organised by the fan group ‘NotAProjectCFC’, took place approximately 75 minutes before kick-off, highlighting growing unrest among sections of the Chelsea fanbase.

Supporters have expressed increasing frustration with the club’s direction in recent seasons, with tensions worsening amid a poor run of results.

Chelsea have lost five of their last six matches across competitions, a slump that has further intensified criticism of the ownership and football management structure.

The unrest has also been fuelled by a heavy Champions League exit, where Chelsea were eliminated in the round of 16 by Paris Saint-Germain with an 8-2 aggregate defeat.

The club is currently owned by the BlueCo consortium, led by Clearlake Capital and co-owner Todd Boehly, whose leadership has come under repeated scrutiny from fans.

During the protest, supporters were heard chanting slogans such as “We want BlueCo out” and other messages expressing anger at the ownership’s handling of the club.

This latest demonstration follows a smaller protest earlier in the season, when around 200 fans gathered ahead of a home match against Brentford.

The growing dissatisfaction has also been reflected in official supporter channels, with the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust (CST) previously issuing a strongly worded open letter to the club’s leadership.

In the letter, the CST criticised what it described as an “unclear vision, inconsistent execution, and insufficiently accountable leadership” at Stamford Bridge.

A spokesperson for the group stated that fans have shown patience through a period of transition but feel that patience has not been matched with clarity or transparency from the club.

The protest underscores the widening gap between supporters and the club hierarchy as Chelsea continue to struggle for consistency on the pitch.

As the team battles for results in the Premier League, pressure off the field continues to grow, adding further tension to an already difficult season at Stamford Bridge.
