ADC Alleges APC Plot to Disrupt Ibadan Summit

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of planning to disrupt its summit in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The allegation was made on Saturday by the party’s spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, who said the opposition had uncovered efforts to interfere with the gathering.

“We have information that there are plans to disrupt our summit in Ibadan today,” Abdullahi said in a post on social media.

“After denying us venues in Abuja, they are now trying to stop us from holding meetings elsewhere.”

He argued that the actions contradict claims by the ruling party that it is not threatened by the opposition.

“They say they are not scared, but their actions suggest otherwise. We will not be intimidated,” he added.

The ADC had earlier raised concerns about difficulties securing venues in Abuja, claiming it was blocked from using major locations, including Eagle Square, before settling on an alternative venue.

Party officials say the situation reflects growing pressure on opposition groups as they prepare for future political activities.
